Pagudpud and Bangui Wind Mills

Day 1 (April 5, 2008)      It was an 11-hour travel from Manila to Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte via RCJ bus.  We arrived there on April 5, 9AM, and stayed as homestay beside Polaris Beach Resort at Saud Beach.      We started at 2PM the same day we arrived at the province.  We rented Manong Ronald’s tricycle for 600 pesos only for a tour to Blue Lagoon, Bantay Abot Cave, Patapat Bridge, and Kabigan Falls. Kapuluan Beach Resort      First on our itinerary is the Kapuluan Beach Resort.  We just inquired about the room availability and to see if the place is accessible.  The resort is quite beautiful with nipa hut cottages around and a small swimming pool.  Good for honeymooners at a reasonable cost.   Just make sure you drive there with your own car since the place is not accessible. Batac and Vigan, Ilocos Sur

Day 2-3 (April 6-7, 2008)      From Pagudpud, we took a bus via Laoag City and rode a jeep via Batac or you could either take a Vigan route bus which is better because they will drop you off in front of Marcos Museum.  Nothing more too see, except for the ex-president preserved corpse and his writings.  After a couple of minutes of taking pictures, we headed off south to Vigan City.  It took us 2 hours to travel from Laoag to Vigan.      When we got there we asked the tricycle driver to drive us to the nearest hotel at heritage site.  We stayed in one of the old Spanish mansions at Grandpa’s Inn.  If only we knew the name of the heritage street we rather stayed at Cordillera’s Inn located at Calle Crisologo.  I’ve really wanted to sleep in an old Spanish mansion but I haven’t tried yet in my great grandpa’s house.
